Reiki is an energetic healing technique. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words “Rei” and “Ki”. Rei means “God’s wisdom or higher power” and it’s the inherent higher knowledge that resides in all beings. Ki refers to the “life force energy”, which is flowing through all living entities. Together the word Reiki means spiritually guided life force energy.

In a Reiki treatment, healing energy is passed from the practitioner to the patient through the hands. Reiki has been used to treat a wide variety of illnesses and promote healing throughout the body. Not only does Reiki treat the physical body, but the mental / emotional components of health as well. In the spiritual sense, Reiki is used to align the chakras and clear the aura. Negative emotions and energies are cleared in a Reiki treatment, leaving the patient with a sense of well-being and peace.

At Luxe Health, a Reiki treatment is 30 or 60 minutes. Other elements are used throughout treatment to enhance the healing process including crystals, essential oils and sage.
